| My art is intensely personal. Like all acts of creativity, it is an
attempt to document my engagement with the world. It is a necessary
and seemingly compelled process in my life, like an endless source of
energy that regularly needs combustion. I am happy to share my work
with others, though I admit displaying my art leaves me feeling exposed.
I cannot expect that others understand or even appreciate my work, but
to me, creativity that does not at least attempt a conversation beyond
the doors of its creator is too selfish an endeavor. I encourage the
